Description

The Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (GMSDC) is a non-profit organization established in 1976 as a regional office of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). As one of the largest of 37 Councils nationwide -- with the largest number of certified and ethnically mixed minority business owners in the Southeast region -- GMSDC is comprised of a network of corporate and government members and certified minority business enterprises purposed to: Certify, Develop, and Connect.

What We Do.
CERTIFY:
GMSDC identifies, certifies and assists in the development of high quality MBEs in a wide range of product and service areas. GMSDC validates that an ethnic-minority supplier is who they say they are. We offer free briefings for businesses interested in certifying and serve as expert counsel to candidates going through the certification process. Once certified, GMSDC hosts MBE Orientation sessions to empower newly certified companies to maximize their certification.

DEVELOP:
GMSDC enhances opportunities for success among our constituents by delivering educational programs and other activities that foster heightened business acumen. We customize programs to meet the needs of our constituency and partners. Through organic programs and tools such as those available through GMSDC Academy and in conjunction with key strategic alliances, we help build competency and capacity among MBEs, corporations and government entities.

CONNECT:
GMSDC creates opportunities for the right level of access to the right audiences. Whether it's buyer/supplier inventorying and matching, trade shows, business-forward leisure activities or committee meetings, our members routinely come together in measurable networking environments armed with a mindset for transacting business.
