Aimee Pickett Sanders is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Group. She represents various clients in complex bankruptcy cases, workouts, debt restructurings, distressed acquisitions and dispositions, and commercial litigation. Aimee also advises clients on out-of-court workouts and insolvency and bankruptcy-related litigation matters.
Following law school, Aimee served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marcia P. Parsons in the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. While in law school, Aimee was a Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute Distinguished Law Student and studied European Union law at Institut d’Études Européennes de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles, in Brussels, Belgium.
Aimee was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Georgia Super Lawyers magazine in 2017 and 2018. She was also named among the Top 100 and Top 40 Under 40 in Business Labor & Employment Law by National Black Lawyers.
