Dr. Sophia Reid, MD FAAD

Dr. Sophia Reid is a dedicated and versatile Board Certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her clinical interests and competencies are wide ranging, and include diagnosis and treatment of ethnic skin, alopecia, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and the diagnosis and management of skin cancer. She has performed countless skin surgeries for cancer as well as benign and cosmetic skin indications. She is well versed in multiple avenues of skin rejuvenation and aesthetics including the use of fillers, neurotoxins, platelet rich plasma, medical grade chemical peels on all skin types and laser surgery.
Dr. Reid has been selected as a Top Doc by her peers for 2020 and 2021. She has also appeared in Good Housekeeping magazine, Cosmopolitan magazine, as well as Women’s Health magazine.
Dr. Reid is a Washington, DC native and completed her undergraduate training at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she received her B.S in Kinesiological science and a minor in life sciences. She then went on to complete her medical school training at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Her medical internship year was completed at the University of California Irvine. She completed her dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Skin of color Society where she sits on the mentorship and membership committees.
Dr. Reid’s passion for healthy vibrant skin parallels her enthusiasm for health and fitness as well as travel. Finding the next great adventure is always on her agenda.
