We started nearly 70 years ago serving the City of Jackson Employees. In fact, our credit union was called “The City of Jackson, MS Employees Federal Credit Union”. It was changed to “Jackson Area Federal Credit Union” when we started serving more than just the City of Jackson employees. But it’s not all that we are today. We’re the credit union of choice for businesses and organizations located in Jackson, MS and in Hinds County. We now serve approximately 70 Select Employment Groups or SEGS. In addition, we serve immediate family members of JAFCU members or immediate family members of retired SEG employees and anyone that lives, works, worships or attends school in Hinds County.
