Founded in 2012 by artist and curator Tariqa Waters, Martyr Sauce is a Black-Owned, artist-led art gallery and neighborhood cultural institution. Committed to keeping the weirdos in the city, Martyr Sauce is located in the historic arts district of Pioneer Square. The intersection of art and community, Martyr Sauce is an underground staple for the city of Seattle. Martyr Sauce has been featured in issues of Rolling Stone France, Madame Figaro, and Dazed magazines along with countless local publications such as Seattle Times, City Arts Magazine, and The Stranger. Martyr Sauce has partnered with Bumbershoot and The Paramount Theatre and is a Cultural Partner of the Seattle Art Fair.Photos
