Mount Olive Baptist Church was organized August 17, 1873 in Washington DC, shortly after the Emancipation Proclamation. We welcome all to come and fellowship at Mount Olive Baptist Church, even though we are a traditional African American Church nestled in the shadow of Capitol Hill, in a community called “NOMA”. As it was then, so it is today. Mount Olive continues to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the clear, expository and practical preaching of the Word of God in ways relevant to our present reality.
