Provide Mental Health Support Services to adults with mental health diagnosis such as Depression, Bi-polar Disorder, Schizophrenia, etc. Assist mental health support clients with housing assistance, vocational assistance, budgeting, coping skills, etc. Transport clients to and from medical appointments, housing and vocational assistance related appointments, etc. Mental Health Support Counselor will meet face to face with mental health support clients 3 to 4 times weekly providing daily progress notes documenting the client’s progress towards achieving goals and objectives outlined in the client’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
Eligibility for this position requires a minimum of an Associates or Bachelors degree in the human services field such as psychology, sociology, counseling, special education, or human services. Applicant’s must also have a minimum of 12 months experience providing services directly to individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental illness.
